The Herzog-Jäger-Trail also promises premium hiking with its unspoiled paths, varied forest landscapes and picturesque brooks and meadows. You’ll find numerous barbecue and rest areas which invite you to linger and enjoy. A barefoot trail, an Ear Trumpet to listen to the sounds in the forest and historical references to Romans and the Celts are further treasures to ensure an eventful stay.

Since June 2018, the 30-meter-high Schönbuch Tower with its delicate architecture on the Stellberg near Herrenberg provides an impressive view of the diverse landscape. The observation tower is easy to reach via the well-developed hiking and network of cycle routes, and of course also by car or public transport.

There are many more attractive destinations for sports and active recreation in the immediate vicinity of the OaseWeil. Pursue the passion of playing Miniature Golf in the Golfwelten in Weil im Schönbuch and the real thing at Golf Club Schönbuch (a member of the Leading Golf Courses of Germany) laying at the exit of Weil offering challenges for all levels.

At the Camel Farm in walking distance you’ll find not only camels but also donkeys and Lamas. You may book a ride for a very unique experience! It’s advisable to do so already with your treehouse booking. An offer that makes children’s and adult’s hearts beat faster.

Another fascinating nature experience in walking distance is a visit to the falconry. Here you’ll see hawks with their flying skills, have a close-up view of Bald Eagles, Desert Buzzards, Eagle Owls and various other species.

If you enjoy invigorating thermal spas, swimming, various saunas you’ll find this in Mineraltherme Böblingen or in Fildorado Filderstadt nearby OaseWeil. Fildorado has a spectacular slide, which generates an acceleration of up to 60 km/h from an altitude of 8 meters.

Especially recommended for families is a visit to the amusement park Traumland on the Swabian Alb. There is not only a fairy tale forest to discover. In addition to the 40 meter high Ferris wheel, wildwater pool, giant slide, climbing pyramid, slingshot and other attractions await little conquerors and daring adults.

Right next to Traumland you’ll find the entrance to the facinating and unique underground world of the Bärenhöhle (Bear’s Cave) with its spectacular stalactites and stalagmites streching along for over 250 meters,
